He spends his free time running, longboarding, playing ultimate Frisbee, practicing circus arts, and reading. Some accomplishments of his are being a captain of his college Frisbee team, receiving the distinguished philosopher award from his professors, and once skipping a rock with sixteen hops. He is excited and proud to be a new member of the Macatawa Gatehouse!

He is now attending the University of Michigan, where, as a sophomore, he is studying Nuclear Engineering. Next year he will also be participating in undergraduate research, an aerospace engineering student design team, and multiple professional societies. When he’s not studying or working, he enjoys playing pick-up soccer or basketball, running, spending time with family and friends, landscape photography, or a good cup of coffee. Last summer was highlighted by a trip to Israel, but he has high hopes this summer will be even better here at the gate house!

Connor & Nathan Leppink

Also, a BIG Thank You goes to Connor and Nathan Leppink (cousins) who you may have seen working the gatehouse and beach cleaning this spring. Nathan, who graduated from Hope College, is moving out to California and Connor, a senior at Dordt, will be accepting an internship position with Fellowship Christian Athletes this summer from May 28-August 3 in Niagara Falls. I truly have enjoyed working with them and every past employee.
